Jesus Mugs for All!* (*for one winner)
It’s been a week.
A week of melted microwaves and tax filing and job hunting and the kind of parenting that makes you feel like you are walking around with a big failure hat on.
BUT, it was also my birthday on Monday!
And I got myself a mug.
I’ve had this mug before, then I gave it away when we moved. But then I found one, sitting at a novelty shop all alone here in town, and I scooped it right up!
Because yay!
When it’s cold, Jesus Saves and He has coupons and scissors.
When it’s hot, Jesus Shaves, His beard disappears and He has a razor.
It’s a fabulous mug, and every time I look at it I smile a little.
How could you NOT like this mug? I just think it needs to be shared with the world. So I found where it is sold online so I could give one away!

My en route sewing machine! I have been asking hubs since we got engaged (4 years ago) for a brand new sewing machine. And finally this week I was able to order one, and it should be here tomorrow! Also the sun after double digit days of rain and a nice warm-ish breeze to help air out the house.

Also of note this week: coming home after a long day and finding my freezable mug was washed and cleaned the night before for me by my boyfriend, seeing my kitties every day (they make me laugh more than smile), and passing a midterm I was afraid of failing!

My 3 year old is remembering a few more letters of the alphabet, he can spell his name, and he can spell M-O-M. Every time those 3 little letters pop out of his mouth in the right order, I warm a little inside 🙂

I home school my 13yr old son and we often come toe to toe, so much it makes me wonder why I chose to do this. But today has been a very good day he has been funny and taking responsibility for his own stuff. We have laughed and I have been able to not get swept up in the 'not so important'. Then to add to it my eldest son(24) Messaged me and told me thank you for everything, that if it had not been for Dad and I he would not be where he was today. Makes my heart light and for those of you with younger families a reminder that we do what we do for much bigger purposes.

My best friend is coming in from BC to Edmonton to see her hubby (my cousin), and then they're coming here for two nights. But all this week, her daughter (whom I refer to as my niece) keeps telling her, "But MOOOMMM I don't WANT to go see Daddy… I want to go see Auntie Tanya!!" Made me smile.. 🙂

Nora telling me that she's all better, then after having a coughing fit, she says, "I'm still little bit sick Mommy, just teeny tiny sick" and imagine her saying teeny tiny in a high pitched super quiet voice. Also – seeing this mug made me smile.

Watching my 14 month old daughter laughing and trying to touch her visible breath in the – 35 weather….everytime she took a swipe at it she started laughing which, obviously, made more for her to try and touch.

Leigh made me smile today. I made him a deck of cards with "52 Reasons I Love You" for Christmas and today I realized that they were sitting in his Green Room (you know the room with all the army stuff in it?) and that he turns a new card up everyday! Reminded me why we are still married after 27 years!
